Carhartt WIP x Quartersnacks

Known for its humorous and irreverent approach, Quartersnacks is a renowned skate media platform, which offers a mix of weekly Top 10s, remixed skate clips, and lighthearted articles, while also producing its own clothing collections. Since the beginning of 2020, Carhartt WIP has been working closely with Quartersnacks, to create exclusive, extended content for its ongoing SOCIAL clip series.
For FW22, this partnership will be cemented by a collaborative capsule collection, inspired by the idiosyncrasies of New York ‘mom and pop’ businesses. The resulting grocery store produce motif, created specifically for this collaboration, has been applied to a selection of utilitarian garments that also call to mind staff uniforms.
Included in the collection is a reworking of the OG Arctic Coat, which features a robust fabric, but with enough stretch to still skate in it. This piece is accented by embroidered detailing and elements of Black Watch tartan. The same check fabric also appears on a flannel shirt, complete with insulated lining.
Elsewhere, the collection includes considered basics, such as the Simple Pant with subtle tool pocket detailing, a co-branded long sleeve t-shirt in a heavyweight slub cotton jersey and a beanie. Grocery staples, meanwhile, serve as graphic t-shirt inspiration.
Carhartt WIP x Quartersnacks will be available from October 6th, 2022 at Carhartt WIP stores, select retailers and online.

fdecarlo@carhartt-wip.comAbout Carhartt WIP
Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is as likely to associate its iconic yellow ‘C’ motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key when defining Carhartt WIP.
Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, reflecting the culture that has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, imagery, and collaboration partners. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.
About Quartersnacks
Quartersnacks began in 2005 as a website that chronicled the musings, conversations, and footage of the downtown New York skateboard community. It has always operated under one encompassing mantra: that your friends are your favorite skaters. Veteran pros are given as much weight as the hometown favorites in the Quartersnacks universe.
Quartersnacks primary focus has always been storytelling, often highlighting up and coming skaters, new companies, and scenes that we find unique.
