Launching on February 6, the fourth capsule collection from sacai and Carhartt WIP transforms the brands’ iconic pieces through sacai’s hybridizing lens, creating new styles that fuse familiarity with reinvention.

The collection combines sacai’s signature pieces – such as its Balmacaan overcoat, tailored suiting jacket, and MA-1 blouson – with Carhartt WIP’s icons, including the Detroit Jacket, Chore Coat and Siberian Parka. Through fabrics, fits, and details, each piece unites the distinct identities of both brands: sacai’s suiting fabric and nylon twill with Carhartt WIP’s robust duck canvas; subtle contrast stitching, tool pockets, and corduroy collars reflect Carhartt WIP’s utilitarian roots, while inventive deconstruction, hybrid layering, and sculptural proportions nod to sacai’s unique design language.

The nine-piece collection brings together men’s and unisex styles, in black, blue, and ivory colorways. An additional beige colorway will be available exclusively through sacai’s official online store.

The collection launches on February 6, at select global retailers and sacai stores, as well as at sacai and Carhartt WIP’s online stores. The collaboration will also be available at Carhartt WIP Store Tokyo Shibuya, Bangkok and Sydney.

About Carhartt Work In Progress

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is as likely to associate its iconic yellow ‘C’ motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key when defining Carhartt WIP.

Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, reflecting the culture that has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, imagery, and collaboration partners. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.
