Pluto presents Miss Espacial 24: Showcasing the next generation of artists in Valencia

This Saturday, 7th December, Pluto brings us Miss Espacial 24, an event showcasing the work of nine artists who have been part of its Espacial Scholarship programme this year. Over the past months, these creators have developed their projects and research at Pluto, and now they’re ready to share the results in an exhibition that uniquely blends art, music, and immersive experiences in Valencia.
During Miss Espacial 24, you’ll have the chance to discover the works developed by the scholarship recipients, enjoy live music, and immerse yourself in an environment where the boundaries between the digital and the organic fade away. At 4 pm, a round table will bring together the residents and more established professionals, who will candidly share their experiences in Valencia, the challenges they face, and their personal stories.
Espacial Scholarship
The Espacial Scholarship is an initiative by Pluto, supported by Carhartt WIP, designed to empower emerging artists. It provides resources, support, and a dedicated space for them to develop their work, helping to propel their careers forward.
With this initiative, Pluto becomes a home for creators based in Valencia, strengthening the local art scene and helping to retain talent in the city. It promotes interdisciplinary experimentation, supports artistic growth, and gives visibility to new creative voices.
To highlight the value of the huerta as a cultural space, the artists will present the results of their residency at Miss Espacial 24 this Saturday, 7th December. This annual event has become a must-attend for those passionate about Valencia’s vibrant and emerging art scene.
The 2024 Espacial generation includes:
• Alejandro Vázquez
• Charlie Smits
• Javier Camps
• Joar Remolar
• La Jeta
• Manel Bafaluy
• Pedro Bella
• Sandra Mar
• Sesame Beckmann
Musical performances will feature Sang Freda, Niebvla, Eddgem, Marco Ferreira, Ariezzz, Blan.trs, Yx3, and Kae Oria, a carefully curated line-up that will guide the audience on a magical journey through the works on display. As the evening progresses, the space will gradually transform into a vibrant, living organism, coming to life as night falls.
The event has limited capacity. To secure your spot, 50 early invitations are available for a contribution of €5. These can be collected at the Carhartt WIP store in Valencia (Martínez Ferrando, 3), with a limit of one invitation per person. Part of the contributions will go towards helping rebuild areas affected by the recent DANA floods.

fdecarlo@carhartt-wip.comAbout Carhartt Work In Progress
Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its own collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of these robust American archetypes, while engaging with the subcultures that have embraced it. This, in turn, has seen Carhartt WIP place itself in a new context and bring forth its own classics.
Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and today operates over 80 brick and mortar locations worldwide. It also has its own skate team and music department, while supporting an array of artists and releasing various in-house publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with a number of like-minded collaborators, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance, and Motown.
