OMNIUM x Carhartt WIP: The Mini-Max Bike

Something solid. Hard-wearing. Fast. A real escape from the steady pull of the digital: the OMNIUM x Carhartt WIP Mini-Max.

The first collaboration between Danish bicycle brand OMNIUM and Carhartt WIP takes OMNIUM’s original Mini-Max as its starting point, reworking the bike from its standard chromoly construction into a tough, premium stainless steel frame. To keep its raw appearance, the frame is clear-coated, leaving high-quality welds and heat discoloration visible.

Acid yellow and black co-branded graphics lend an industrial, hi-vis character throughout, appearing across its DT Swiss cargo wheels, cargo webbing, lock-on foam grips, and titanium-railed saddle.

The bike also includes special-edition MKS x Carhartt WIP XC-III “bear trap” pedals, via Blue Lug Japan, nodding to Carhartt WIP’s history in BMX. They feature a custom matte-black colorway with hand-painted embossed branding and C-Logo cutouts in the cages. A limited run will be sold separately at a later date via select Carhartt WIP stores and OMNIUM channels.

To celebrate the collaboration, a preview event takes place on September 18, featuring a social bike ride (sign-up only) from OMNIUM’s Nørrebrogade flagship to Carhartt WIP Store Copenhagen Købmagergade. The evening continues with music, drinks, and a custom sound system mounted on a bike.

The OMNIUM x Carhartt WIP Mini-Max launches on September 24 in three sizes (S/M/L), available only at omniumcargo.com and select OMNIUM dealers. Limited to 150 units.

The bike will be on display at the following Carhartt WIP stores:

About Carhartt Work In Progress

Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its own collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of these robust American archetypes, while engaging with the subcultures that have embraced it. This, in turn, has seen Carhartt WIP place itself in a new context and bring forth its own classics.

Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and today operates over 80 brick and mortar locations worldwide. It also has its own skate team and music department, while supporting an array of artists and releasing various in-house publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with a number of like-minded collaborators, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance, and Motown.
