CLIPSE Engineered by Carhartt WIP
Legendary Virginia hip-hop duo CLIPSE have collaborated with Carhartt WIP on an exclusive capsule collection, set to launch on July 10. The collection accompanies the release of CLIPSE’s new album – Let God Sort Em Out – and forthcoming global tour.
Drawing aesthetic parallels with the duo’s work, the capsule is defined by a minimal palette and classic, no-nonsense silhouettes. It includes an OG Detroit Jacket constructed from black denim with subtle tonal detailing. The album title appears boldly on the reverse, while the chest bears a logo lock-up. An OG Active Jacket, made from heavyweight Dearborn Canvas, also appears in the collection. Again, it features a black palette with white graphic accents, such as embroidery on the chest, and a stepped-on ‘C’ Logo on the reverse.
The collection also includes two graphic t-shirts – available in both black and white – as well as a hoodie and a sweatshirt. Each item draws from the visual identity of Let God Sort Em Out, while deftly incorporating iconography from both Carhartt WIP and CLIPSE.
Let God Sort Em Out is the latest release by Pusha T and Malice, as the two brothers reunite for their first collaborative project since 2009. The album is produced by Pharrell Williams, whose work with Chad Hugo, under the production duo’s Neptunes moniker, helped shape the sparse, skeletal sound of seminal CLIPSE releases such as Hell Hath No Fury (2006) and Lord Willin’ (2002). But while the formula may feel reassuringly familiar, Let God Sort Em Out eschews nostalgia to deliver a project that feels finely-tuned, cohesive, and above all, urgent.
Imagery for this collaboration was shot by Daniel Derro Regan in Paris.
CLIPSE Engineered by Carhartt WIP will launch on July 10, via select Carhartt WIP stores and carhartt-wip.com.
Early access to products will be available via the Carhartt WIP App on July 8. The offering will include a Virginia Beach t-shirt exclusive to the app, as well as Carhartt WIP’s US online store.
Additional events and limited edition products will follow in select cities, in line with CLIPSE’s forthcoming Let God Sort Em Out tour.

fdecarlo@carhartt-wip.comAbout Carhartt Work In Progress
Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is just as likely to associate its iconic yellow C motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips, as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key in defining what Carhartt WIP does. Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, representing the culture which has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, its imagery, and its choice of partners and collaborators. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.
