Carhartt WIP x INVINCIBLE® with Shinsuke Nakada

CWIP_Invincible_1

For Fall/Winter 2024, Carhartt WIP has joined forces once again with the brand and retailer INVINCIBLE® for a seven-piece capsule collection, comprising contemporary, loose-fit styles enhanced by an innovative approach to deconstruction.

For the collaboration, INVINCIBLE® has reunited with Japanese designer Shinsuke Nakada, known for his meticulous attention to detail and reinterpretations of classic Americana. Nakada delved into Carhartt WIP's archives for this season's designs, drawing from the brand's signature pieces and filtering them through his unique lens.

The result is a collection of contemporary styles, including a reimagined Chore Coat in heavyweight denim with a convertible hood; a reversible Detroit Jacket; and a long-sleeve work shirt that references outdoor apparel. A series of pigment-dyed jersey pieces, executed in a washed yet saturated finish, round out the collection.

Throughout, items feature Carhartt WIP's woven Square Label, accented by embroidery that represents INVINCIBLE®'s tornado logo.

The collection will launch on December 7 at INVINCIBLE® stores and its online shop, as well as at carhartt-wip.com, the Carhartt WIP iOS App, and the selected Carhartt WIP stores.

About Carhartt Work In Progress

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is just as likely to associate its iconic yellow C motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips, as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key in defining what Carhartt WIP does. Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, representing the culture which has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, its imagery, and its choice of partners and collaborators. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.

About INVINCIBLE® & Shinsuke Nakada

Since its establishment in 2007, INVINCIBLE® has continuously pursued progress and innovation, while challenging and creating new horizons for the fashion market with irreplaceable and authentic classic designs. We incorporate the excitement of different brands and units, adopting a unique perspective that combines Asian and European cultures to connect brands with consumers.

By extracting the essence of different cultures and focusing on the design language between innovative products and consumers, we continue to improve and benefit from the spirit of teamwork of our teams across the world to invent new contemporary classics and create more diverse creative and cultural perspectives.

Shinsuke Nakada, born in 1977 in Tochigi, Japan, developed a fascination for American culture in his youth, inspiring his journey as a clothing designer. In addition to running his own label UNLIKELY, Nakada also collaborates with numerous international brands in his roles as a Creative Director and lead designer. Over the past two decades, his expertise has played a pivotal role in establishing a vibrant Americana style movement in Japan, referred to as Amekaji. Specializing in athleticwear, Nakada continues to present this vision by blending his design philosophy with heritage influences, intricate garment detailing, and modern craftsmanship.
