Carhartt WIP x Awake NY
Carhartt WIP x Awake NY will be released in the APAC region on April 8th, from select Carhartt WIP stores and the brand’s online shop, as well as the following retailers: DSM Ginza, Juice (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei) and Union Tokyo.
The two brands will mark their second collaboration with an exclusive two-day pop up in Seoul on April 8th and 9th.
Taking over a space on 17, Apgujeong-ro 50-gil, located in the South Korean capital’s Gangnam-gu district, the pop up will carry the complete Carhartt WIP x Awake NY collection, and will be attended by Awake NY founder Angelo Baque on Saturday April 8th.
Carhartt WIP x Awake NY combines robust Dearborn Canvas items, such as the OG Active Jacket and Double Knee Pant, with graphic motifs and floral embroidery. These appear alongside jersey items like the Awake NY Hooded Sweatshirt, as well as the Awake NY Teddy Jacket — a varsity-inspired style featuring faux-leather sleeves, graphic patches and embroidered lettering. Knitted items, such as the jacquard Awake NY Cardigan and Un Amor Beanie, round out the collection.
The accompanying campaign was styled by Alastair McKimm and shot by Mario Sorrenti.

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is as likely to associate its iconic yellow ‘C’ motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key when defining Carhartt WIP.
Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, reflecting the culture that has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, imagery, and collaboration partners. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.
Awake NY
Launched in 2012 by Angelo Baque, former brand director of Supreme, Awake NY captures the unique cultural spirit and sensibility of New York City. Awake NY is a reflection of the diversity that has defined the city's cultural landscape. Simultaneously classic and contemporary, Awake NY evokes both the changing aesthetic vibrancy and timelessness of New York.
