On 15 October, Carhartt WIP Store Warsaw will celebrate the first anniversary of its Mokotowska 19 location. For one evening, the space will transform into the Carhartt WIP Jazz Club, bringing together sound, live performance and the local scene.
The line-up features an improvisational drum soundclash between percussionist and composer Valentina Magaletti, and multi-instrumentalist and producer Tymek Papior, followed by a live performance from Warsaw-based trio Pokusa. Open bar courtesy of Mikrogorzelnia and Thomas Henry.
A selection of accompanying merchandise will be available, including a graphic long-sleeve t-shirt and crewneck sweatshirt. Every purchase comes with a sound postcard, reviving a format once popular in Poland between the 60s and 70s: a square, flexible phonograph record that could be mailed and played on a standard turntable. Ours features an exclusive piece by Tymek Papior.

15 października sklep Carhartt WIP przy ul. Mokotowskiej 19 w Warszawie będzie obchodzić pierwszą rocznicę otwarcia. Na jeden wieczór przestrzeń zamieni się w Carhartt WIP Jazz Club, łącząc dźwięk, występy na żywo i lokalną scenę muzyczną.
W programie improwizowany drum soundclash, w którym spotkają się perkusistka i kompozytorka Valentina Magaletti oraz multiinstrumentalista i producent Tymek Papior, a następnie koncert warszawskiego tria Pokusa. O otwarty bar zadbają Mikrogorzelnia i Thomas Henry.
Na tę okazję przygotowano również limitowaną kolekcję produktów towarzyszących wydarzeniu, w tym longsleeve z dedykowaną grafiką oraz bluzę typu crewneck. Do każdego zakupu dołączona będzie pocztówka dźwiękowa, nawiązująca do formatu popularnego w Polsce w latach 60. i 70. Była to kwadratowa, elastyczna płyta gramofonowa, którą można było wysłać pocztą i odtworzyć na standardowym gramofonie. Na naszej pocztówce znajdzie się specjalny utwór autorstwa Tymka Papiora.
Carhartt WIP Jazz Club odbędzie się w czwartek, 15 października, w godzinach 19:00–22:00 w sklepie Carhartt WIP przy ul. Mokotowskiej 19 w Warszawie.

Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its own collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of these robust American archetypes, while engaging with the subcultures that have embraced it. This, in turn, has seen Carhartt WIP place itself in a new context and bring forth its own classics.
Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and today operates over 80 brick and mortar locations worldwide. It also has its own skate team and music department, while supporting an array of artists and releasing various in-house publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with a number of like-minded collaborators, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance, and Motown.
