Carhartt WIP Fall/Winter 2024 by Finnegan Travers

Photographed by Finnegan Travers, Carhartt WIP’s second delivery of F/W24 is set against a South London backdrop, featuring a selection of new season additions and core classics.

Deep fall palettes and a new overdyed camouflage motif are standout elements, appearing across a selection of both familiar and new silhouettes. As such, the garments in the second delivery present an enduring quality, in their resilient construction and roots in functionality. They are items that continue to anchor each collection, while simultaneously transcending the seasons.

Archetypal Icons in our Dearborn Canvas, such as the Double-Knee Pant and Women’s OG Detroit Jacket, are executed in new rinsed colorways for F/W24, from ‘dove’ grey to ‘aura’ purple. They are complemented by a series of American Script items, which appear in similarly saturated hues and are detailed with triple stitching, as well as two-tone embroidery.

Meanwhile, items like the Hooded Olten Parka and Olten Bomber draw from military silhouettes and fabrics, which have been recast as subcultural staples thanks to their functional, robust nature. This influence extends to a contemporary take on classic camouflage, seen on the Duck Active Jacket in green, the Duck Landon Pant in bleached beige, and the Duck Detroit Jacket in bold orange.

The Women’s Duck Orell Jacket in denim and a new, long-length poplin cargo skirt reflect the collection’s utilitarian inspirations.

About Carhartt Work In Progress

Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its own collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of these robust American archetypes, while engaging with the subcultures that have embraced it. This, in turn, has seen Carhartt WIP place itself in a new context and bring forth its own classics.

Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and today operates over 80 brick and mortar locations worldwide. It also has its own skate team and music department, while supporting an array of artists and releasing various in-house publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with a number of like-minded collaborators, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance, and Motown.
