Carhartt WIP has collaborated with California brand ACE Trucks on a selection of skate items, available as part of Carhartt WIP’s F/W24 collection.

Included is a set of two ACE AF1 trucks, constructed from aluminum alloy and steel, featuring an anodized baseplate in Carhartt WIP orange, as well as a co-branded, engraved hanger. The selection also includes a collapsible T-Tool made from steel, featuring an engraved axle and kingpin, an inbuilt Phillips & Allen key, and a griptape file.

Accompanying the release is a skate video shot in Paris by filmer Romain Batard, featuring Carhartt WIP and ACE team riders Max Palmer, Raph Langslow, Noah Mahieu, Marine Bourdais, Maité Steenhoudt, Amélien Foures, Ewing Ayala, and Guy Azulay. Alongside the video is a series of action shots captured by photographer James Griffiths.

The ACE AF1 trucks and T-Tool will be available as part of the F/W24 collection from September, with the accompanying video launching online in October.

ACE Trucks was founded in 2007 by Joey Tershay and Steve “Shrewgy” Ruge, under the mutual goal of creating the best performing trucks in skateboarding. In 2017, ACE welcomed third partner Joey Pulsifer, and four years later, released the AF1 – also known as the strongest cast truck on earth – marking a pivotal point in ACE’s evolution. Today, the brand continues to operate globally, offering a range of AF1, Low and Hollow trucks, in addition to accessories and apparel.

About Carhartt Work In Progress

Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) is a clothing brand that adapts and modifies the core products of the pioneering American workwear brand Carhartt to create its own collections. Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, the brand’s audience is just as likely to associate its iconic yellow C motif with late 90s hip hop videos or skate clips, as they are with factories or manual labor. This distinction is key in defining what Carhartt WIP does. Carhartt WIP engages with different cultural spheres: from Detroit and Berlin’s symbiotic techno scenes, to skateboarding and its communities that span Paris, New York, and Seoul, to the contemporary art world. The brand channels these influences, representing the culture which has formed around it. This can be seen and felt in its collections, its imagery, and its choice of partners and collaborators. Today, Carhartt WIP operates over 100 brick and mortar retail stores across Europe, Asia, and the US, as well as working with select wholesale clients.
