The event is open to the public, inviting visitors to skate alongside members of the Carhartt WIP skate team across the weekend. DJ sets and live music will run throughout, including performances on April 24th by Copenhagen-based producer Croatian Amor and team rider Sondre Mortensen’s band, What the Tusan. About Carhartt Work In Progress

Established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh, Carhartt Work In Progress (WIP) develops its own collections based on original Carhartt workwear. The brand combines authentic adaptations of these robust American archetypes, while engaging with the subcultures that have embraced it. This, in turn, has seen Carhartt WIP place itself in a new context and bring forth its own classics.

Carhartt WIP opened its first store in London in 1997 and today operates over 80 brick and mortar locations worldwide. It also has its own skate team and music department, while supporting an array of artists and releasing various in-house publications. Since 2010, Carhartt WIP has worked with a number of like-minded collaborators, including A.P.C., Converse, Fragment Design, Junya Watanabe, Nike, Underground Resistance, and Motown.

Copenhagen Contemporary

Copenhagen Contemporary (CC) is Copenhagen’s international art center, showcasing installation art by both global stars of contemporary art and emerging talents. CC is housed in the magnificent former B&W welding hall, renovated by architect Dorte Mandrup. With a total of 7,000 m² of beautiful industrial exhibition space, it has the capacity to present the technically ambitious and large-scale formats that many contemporary artists work with: major immersive installations, performance art, and monumental video works. It is art that you can often step into and experience with your whole body.
